4. Your content
You retain ownership of content you create and share.
You grant AkkamChat a limited license to host, store, and transmit end-to-end encrypted human conversation data and to process the operational metadata needed to deliver the service. For features that require readable content—such as Akkam AI or content you intentionally send to support—you also grant AkkamChat and the applicable provider permission to process that submitted content only as needed to provide the requested feature, maintain security, enforce these Terms, and comply with law.
You must have permission to submit the content you share.
Recipients may save, copy, forward, record, or screenshot content after it is decrypted on their device. AkkamChat cannot control content after it has been received by another user.
5. Calls and communications
Call quality and availability depend on devices, permissions, networks, geography, and third-party infrastructure.
In current supported app versions, human audio and video call media is end-to-end encrypted. Participant identifiers, room identifiers, invitation state, timing, connection diagnostics, notification routing, and call history remain operational metadata processed by AkkamChat and its calling provider.
AkkamChat does not provide emergency calling and is not a replacement for telephone or emergency services.
You must obtain any consent required by law before recording a call.
6. Akkam AI
AI output may be incorrect or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing it before use.
Akkam AI is not end-to-end encrypted. By submitting a prompt, image, attachment, or conversation context to Akkam AI, you direct AkkamChat and its AI provider to process that content to generate the requested response.
Akkam AI does not provide professional medical, legal, financial, or emergency advice.
We may limit AI access for safety, capacity, provider requirements, suspected abuse, or policy enforcement.
7. Intellectual property
AkkamChat’s software, branding, designs, logos, and original materials belong to AkkamChat or its licensors.
We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service according to these Terms.
8. Copyright complaints
Copyright complaints should be sent to legal@akkamchat.com.
Include identification of the protected work, the disputed content, your contact information, a good-faith statement, an accuracy statement, and your signature.
9. Third-party services
AkkamChat relies on outside providers for infrastructure, authentication, calls, encrypted-content storage, notifications, and AI features. Those providers may process operational metadata and encrypted human content as needed for their functions. The AI provider processes readable content intentionally submitted to Akkam AI.
Third-party services may have separate terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for matters outside our reasonable control.
10. Updates and availability
We may update, limit, replace, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Keep AkkamChat updated for security and compatibility.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using AkkamChat or delete your account.
We may restrict or terminate access when we reasonably believe an account violates these Terms, creates a security risk, harms others, or exposes AkkamChat to legal liability.
12. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AkkamChat is provided “as is” and “as available.”
We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.
Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AkkamChat will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid AkkamChat during the previous twelve months or $100.
Some jurisdictions do not permit certain limitations, so this section may not fully apply to you.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Minnesota law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Disputes not assigned to another legally required forum will be handled by an appropriate state or federal court located in Minnesota.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes may be announced through AkkamChat, the website, or email.
