Messaging

In current supported app versions, human direct and group conversation content is end-to-end encrypted on user devices. If the required conversation key is unavailable, AkkamChat stops the protected send rather than falling back to readable plaintext.

Audio and video calls

AkkamChat supports:

• Incoming-call notifications while the app is in the background or the phone is locked, where supported

Group calls are designed to support up to 100 participants. Actual capacity and quality depend on the device, internet connection, geographic location, and service plan.

Audio and video call media is end-to-end encrypted in current supported clients. Participant identifiers, room identifiers, timing, invitation state, notifications, and call history remain server-visible operational metadata.

Photos, videos, and files

Received images can be opened in a full-screen viewer and downloaded where supported.

Supported human-chat attachments are encrypted on the sender’s device before upload.

AI responses should be reviewed before they are relied upon or shared.

Akkam AI is not end-to-end encrypted. Prompts, AI history supplied as context, images, and generated responses must be available to AkkamChat and its AI provider for processing.

Profiles and privacy controls

Users can manage their profiles, update profile pictures, add contacts, control permissions, block users, report abuse, and delete their accounts.
