A family’s vision
Welcome to AkkamChat, a next-generation real-time messaging platform built around a simple but powerful idea: great innovation can come from anywhere, at any age.
Founded in late 2025, AkkamChat began as a family-driven technology project built on curiosity, determination, collaboration, and a shared vision for better communication.
Our journey began not in a corporate boardroom, but at home, inspired by the curiosity and creativity of a young developer. Wakangari Olana, a determined sixth-grade student, envisioned a seamless, powerful, and secure messaging experience. His journey into coding began in Grade 2 through online classes, and his passion for creating technology and solving problems became the driving force behind AkkamChat’s development.
Standing alongside him is his older brother, Abdiwak Olana, a Grade 10 student and dedicated basketball athlete. Abdiwak brings his own strengths to the project, serving as a trusted collaborator, sounding board, and source of support as the vision continues to take shape.
Guiding the brothers is their uncle, Dr. Chala Abdissa, a medical doctor based in Sweden. Dr. Chala serves as a mentor and strategic advisor, providing guidance, encouragement, and perspective as AkkamChat grows. His support across continents has helped the team navigate challenges and remain focused on the long-term vision.
Their parents, Kebene Adeba and Oliyad Abdissa, have played an important role by providing the needed resources, practical advice, encouragement, and support. Their involvement and commitment helped give the brothers the tools and guidance they needed to pursue their vision.
AkkamChat is more than an app. It is a testament to what can happen when curiosity, family support, mentorship, and determination come together.

Wakangari Olana
Founder & Lead Developer
Wakangari Olana is the founder and lead developer behind AkkamChat. His interest in coding began in Grade 2 through online learning and grew into a passion for building technology and solving problems.
Wakangari is the visionary behind AkkamChat and plays a central role in the platform’s development, features, user experience, and technical direction.
His journey demonstrates that age does not have to be a barrier to creativity, learning, or innovation.
Abdiwak Olana
Co-Founder & Head of Operations
Abdiwak Olana is a Grade 10 student, athlete, and key member of the AkkamChat team.
As Wakangari’s older brother, Abdiwak provides operational support, ideas, feedback, encouragement, and day-to-day assistance as the project continues to develop.
His teamwork and support have been an important part of helping turn the original vision into a growing technology platform.
Dr. Chala Abdissa
Mentor & Strategic Advisor
Dr. Chala Abdissa is a medical doctor based in Sweden and Wakangari and Abdiwak’s uncle.
Dr. Chala serves as a mentor and strategic advisor to the AkkamChat team. He provides guidance, encouragement, strategic perspective, and business mentorship while helping the team think about the project’s long-term direction.
His support and experience have helped the team stay focused, motivated, and committed to building something meaningful.
Kebene Adeba & Oliyad Abdissa
Parents & Advisors
Kebene Adeba and Oliyad Abdissa are Wakangari and Abdiwak’s parents and important supporters of the AkkamChat project.
From the beginning, Kebene and Oliyad have provided the resources, practical advice, encouragement, and support needed to help the brothers pursue their ideas and develop AkkamChat.
Their involvement and commitment helped give the brothers the tools and guidance they needed to move the project from an idea into a real technology platform.
